Dear Watermark Church family,

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.  “Which of you, if your son asks for bread, will give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will give him a snake? If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” Matthew 7:7-11

The greatest power in all the universe is God! And we experience that power through Holy Spirit and Prayer! God is concerned about you - your family, spiritual growth, relationships, finances, career, health, fears, dreams and failures!

Yet we often do not pray to our Heavenly Father, the Creator of the universe, or we do not persevere until we see our prayers answered. Why does our praying often fade after just a little while?

The basis for answered prayer is to put your trust in the ONE who answers prayer. You will trust Him more as you know Him better! What are two key truths you must know and believe about God to be able to pray with power, and see mountains moved in your life? One, you must believe that God is willing to answer your requests. Two, you must believe that God is able to answer your requests.

Join us this Sunday at Watermark Church as we look at these two truths to help us experience what it is like to continually pray with power!

Watermark Church will have a churchwide “vision and budget update” meeting to be held on Sunday, July 15 immediately following the Sundaymorning worship service. We will review our vision of reaching Monroe and beyond for Christ and give an update on our church budget and finances.

Our Watermark Church Vacation Bible School was a huge success! We had 70 people attend, we collected 150 canned goods for the needy, and we collected $150.01 for missions!

In addition, the fruit of Vacation Bible School is beginning to develop. One of the teachers of the first and second grade said a girl told her last Friday night that she spoke to her mommy about what she was learning about Jesus in VBS. When she said her prayer before bed Thursday night she asked Jesus to come into her heart!

Also, one of our workers and her husband plan to visit our church within the next two weeks.

Another couple who was there Friday night will be soon moving to Lebanon. They are looking for a church home and plan to visit Watermark Church as well.

According to Lifeway Research, VBS remains one of the most popular church programs in America. Six in 10 Americans say they went to VBS growing up, and 95 percent of parents whose child attended VBS say it provided a positive experience. Last summer, more than 70,000 people made professions of faith as a direct result of VBS.

Thanks to everyone who volunteered for one of the many tasks last week! And a special thanks to Patti and Tim Kellis, for their tireless commitment to the kids of our community! They are lights for Christ and have helped Watermark Church reach out to many with the love of Christ.

The Prophecy and World Events class is offered at 9:30 AM Sundays, taught by Pastor Ron.

Life Group: The Gibson’s and Settimos’ Life Group bible study meets every other Friday. Contact Paul or Nathan for more info.
