Dear Watermark Church family,

“But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. And they found the stone rolled away from the tomb, but when they entered, they did not find the body of the Lord Jesus.

While they were perplexed about this, behold, two men suddenly stood near them in dazzling clothing; and as the women were terrified and bowed their faces to the ground, the men said to them, “Why do you seek the living One among the dead? He is not here, but He has risen.Remember how He spoke to you while He was still in Galilee, saying that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” Luke 24:1-7

The validity of Christianity is centered on one main truth and one main event – the resurrection of Jesus from the dead. If He did not rise from the dead, then Christianity is a hoax. If He did not rise from the dead, then there is no path for us to experience God’s forgiveness through Jesus. If He did not rise, then those who follow Jesus today are deceived and most to be pitied!

But He DID rise! He is alive. The tomb was empty! Jesus now reigns as King in the hearts of those who put their faith in Him! The gospel message, which is the reality of the death, burial and resurrection of Christ, is God’s plan to forgive our sins and reconcile each of us with God. As we trust in Jesus to be the sacrifice for our sin, our heavenly Father restores the loving relationship He desires to have with all who believe by faith.

You can be forgiven!! How can it be?...

“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.” John 3:16,17

This Easter, rejoice in the Risen King. Rejoice in your forgiveness. Rejoice that you can walk in fellowship with God! Rejoice that your eternity with God is set! For “He is not here, but He has risen.” Join us this Sunday, as we celebrate together the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sin of the world.
