What To Expect
Most Sundays we begin and end the service with worship through music. Singing songs that express our love to God is one way we draw close to Him. Our music is a mix of some traditional favorites, often with a contemporary flare, and songs that express our heart for God with modern wording and phrasing.
We typically go through books of the Bible on a Sunday morning. The words from Scripture are eternally timeless, but it is our task to apply them today in our context and world system. At the heart of the message is the simple gospel message that Jesus Christ lived, died on the cross and rose again for the salvation of all.
No church can be effective without an emphasis on prayer. Prayer is communication with God and can be powerful. We pray in various ways and at different times throughout the service. If you desire individual prayer, you will have the opportunity following the service to meet with a member of our prayer team.
Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT ABOUT MY KIDS?
Programs for children and students are available during the service. Here, age-appropriate small groups and experienced leaders help your children learn about God in exciting and relevant ways. If you need help finding the area for your children, please ask someone at Welcome Center in the lobby.
WHAT SHOULD I WEAR?
Whatever makes you comfortable. We’re not concerned about what’s going on on the outside. We have a contemporary and casual style, so it's not difficult to fit in.
WILL I BE ASKED TO GIVE MONEY?
If you’re new and checking things out, we want you to experience the service as our guest. The offering is a time for those who consider Linworth their home church. Don’t worry – no one will be watching to see if you give.
